With your help we can raise vital funds to purchase life saving equipment for the Liver Transplant Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead
Here we are again!!! Our annual fundraiser that sits so close to our hearts.
Mia was born with a rare Liver disease called Biliary Atresia and received a Liver Transplant at the tender age of 8 months old.
Since she received her life-saving Transplant, unfortunately, Mia has had a rough road with complications with Strictures in her biliary ducts and has spent many days, weeks and months along with multiple admissions, surgeries and stays in hospital to try and rectify the ongoing issues.
We hope that in the future years, Mia will live life to the fullest and only require going to hospital for check-ups to see our amazing second family which is the beautiful Doctors and Nurses of the Liver Transplant Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
That’s our wish for Mia.
In the meantime, we can raise funds, to purchase equipment and researchers time to help with the Liver Transplant process and possibly one day a cure to liver disease.
The Liver Transplant Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead relies on the generosity of supporters to be able to help those in need. Funds raised through events like Leaping Livers are crucial in enabling them to continue their work.
We believe it's important to raise awareness of childhood liver disease and liver transplantation. Please support us as we challenge ourselves to complete the 9km circuit at Leaping Livers 2019!
